HRH Queen Elizabeth II

13th September 2022
HRH Queen Elizabeth II 1926-2022
It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family at this difficult time.
We will be closed on Monday 19th September as a mark of respect for her funeral. School will re-open on Tuesday 20th from 08.30am as usual.

Our children have been sharing their thoughts and views during this time of National Mourning. We would like to start by sharing a prayer, written by George;

Dear God
We give thanks for Queen Elizabeth II and
for all the strength she has given this country during
challenging times.
I thank you for the good decisions and joy she has given us.
We ask you to watch over our new King Charles III
and guide him as he reigns over us.
Amen

St. Mary's Church Cavendish have agreed with the parish council to have The Book of Condolences in the church. This will be placed at the East end of the North Aisle, across the Nave from the main door. Similarly for those wishing to leave a floral tribute there will be a section in The Garden of Remembrance in the churchyard.
The Book of Condolences will be removed the day after Her Majesty's State Funeral.
