Summer Camp Out

Summer Camp Out 2022
On Friday 8th July through to Saturday 9th July Neptune Class, Year 5/6, had their annual residential sleepover. There was; a bouncy castle, archery, laser tag, celebration cake, camp fires, fish & chip supper, group quiz, forest school shenanigans, toasted marshmallows, not to mention erecting our own tents ready for the big sleep out!! Followed by homemade camp fire pancakes the next morning.
We were so lucky with the weather, the children were fantastic, a huge thank-you to all the staff that supported us during the day and those who joined us for the evening/night time activities. They are; in no particular order, daytime, Mrs Ward & Mr Gathercole, evening onwards, Ms Wass, Mrs Lewis, Miss Jackson & Mrs Gibbs. We all had a great time, even if we appeared a little weary the next morning! Until next year...

Some quotes from the children:
'My biggest challenge was sleeping inside a tent because I was a bit scared ( i don't know what of!) It turned out to be fine.' - Keaton
'Getting to know people and getting more in tune with nature like listening to the birds; isn't nature beautiful? Just being with my friends was good enough.' - Michael
'I shared my tent with Ellie and Myla which was really good fun. We had archery, laser tag and a bouncy castle!' - Millie
'Camp out was a really good time - I think everyone can agree it was a good day.' - Jenson
