Forest School Campout

16th July 2021
Neptune Class (and staff) were very excited to camp out overnight in the school grounds on Friday 16th July.
Tents were erected, mats and sleeping bags were ready for the off. Leavers 21 hoodies were dispersed and worn, despite the rather warm weather!  The morning commenced with archery and sports activities led by our sports coach. Stour Valley kitchen provided our lunch and an extra special campout cake for dessert. The afternoon reconvened with giant inflatables, followed by more food, snacks and juice, to keep us going. Early evening led us to our Forest School setting for more fun and activities, this time under shade. Dinner was fish and chips under the canopy and then it was back to Forest School for an evening of fun, camp fire and toasting marshmallows.
We all settled into our tents around 11 pm ish and settled down for the evening under the stars and moon. Everyone awoke bright and early and enjoyed a campfire with freshly cooked pancakes for our breakfast. We were returned to our parents (somewhat bleary eyed) mid morning. Great fun was had by all. A BIG thank you to all the staff and different outside people that made the Campout possible. Here's to next time!
