What is Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is additional funding allocated to schools to help close the attainment gap for certain groups of pupils. This funding supports children from low-income families who are currently eligible—or have been eligible within the past six years—for free school meals. It also applies to children who have been in continuous care for more than six months or who have been adopted from care. In addition, schools receive a smaller amount of funding to support children from armed forces families.

At Cavendish Church of England Primary School, we are fully committed to supporting disadvantaged pupils. Our aim in using the Pupil Premium funding is to meet the individual needs of every pupil, ensuring that all children thrive, reach their academic potential, and have equal access to our enrichment activities.

We believe that every child in our care should grow in confidence, build self-esteem, and be supported to achieve their very best.
