Swimming

As part of our extensive physical curriculum children have access to swimming lessons during year 3. A qualified swimming coach delivers lessons to meet the government standards for swimming expectations for their age range.
These lessons will continue to be available in the following year to those children who may not reach the expected standard.

Our Swimming programme was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic and as such this year, 2022, we will start catch up lessons from Friday 14th January for 10 weeks, the lessons will take place at Haverhill Leisure Centre.
Our swimming lessons will continue for the Summer term From April 29th 2022 for 11 weeks or until the children have reached the statutory level for water skills, including being able to swim 25 metres with a recognisable stroke.
